- 2022
- 750ml
- White
- 13%
- Peyrassol
- 95% Vermentino, 5% Ugni Blanc.
- Côtes de Provence
- France
Marked by a particularly hot and dry climate, the 2022 vintage in Provence benefited on the terroirs of the interior valleys of some welcome showers in early September, which allowed the grapes to complete their maturity. The harvest then took place under particularly mild sky, which directly contributed to the quality of the harvest.
Tasting Notes: With its golden color and green hue, this wine expresses the full potential of Vermentino between freshness and fruit.
Nose: In a harmonious whole: white flowers and pear give way to a lemony nose and notes of acacia honey.
Palate: Light, lively and silky at the same time, this white wine is digestible and thirst-quenching, the citrus finish completes the great complexity of this wine.
Origin: France, Côtes de Provence
Soil Type: Clay and limestone dating from the Triassic period, with a high proportion of pebbles.
Grapes: 95% Vermentino, 5% Ugni Blanc.
Growing: Organic farming, mechanical harvesting by grape variety during the night, at hours freshest.
Vinification: Traditional in stainless steel tanks, temperature controlled.
Fermentation: A few months in stainless steel vats on fine lees allow the aromatic freshness to be respected as much as possible.
Ageing Potential: To be enjoyed as of now.
Food Pairing: A nice Cretan salad or grilled red mullet fillets will perfectly match the freshness of this white wine. The bold will try a fusion pairing with linguine al limone.
Winery: Peyrassol
