Embark on a journey of flavor with El Puntido, a captivating expression of 100% Tempranillo that beckons with its rich character and alluring profile. Crafted from handpicked grapes nurtured in the heart of D.O.Ca. Rioja, this wine invites you to savor the essence of Spanish winemaking tradition.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Dive into a symphony of aromas, where ripe and juicy fruits mingle with hints of fine milky notes and noble woods, evoking a sense of adventure and discovery.

  • Palate: Experience the structured elegance of El Puntido as it tantalizes the palate with its nerve and fine silkiness, leading to a tan, lingering finish adorned with silky tannins.

Origin:

  • Village: Rooted in the charming village of Páganos, Laguardia, El Puntido emerges from a family-owned vineyard spanning 25 hectares, meticulously planted in 1975.

  • Slope Face: Graced with poor clay-limestone soils and sandstone subsoils, the vineyard embraces high planting density and low production per hectare, fostering grapes of exceptional quality and character.

  • Soil Type: The terroir of El Puntido reflects the unique blend of clay-limestone soils and sandstone subsoils, infusing the wine with depth and complexity.

Vinification:

  • Harvest: Each grape, carefully handpicked, undergoes traditional elaboration, with 100% destemmed grapes and a pre-fermentative maceration that teases out the wine's nuanced flavors.

  • Fermentation: Indigenous yeast selected from the vineyards initiates fermentation, while malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels, imparting subtle layers of complexity. Aged for 16 months in new Bordelaise barrels of French oak, followed by an additional 6 months in tank, El Puntido matures gracefully, revealing its full potential.

Ageing Potential: Embrace the opportunity to explore the ageing potential of El Puntido, as it evolves and matures over time, revealing new dimensions of flavor and character.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16-18°C to unlock the full spectrum of aromas and flavors that El Puntido has to offer.

Food Pairing:

Pair El Puntido with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses for an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the adventurous spirit of Spanish cuisine. Let each sip transport you to the sun-kissed vineyards of Rioja, where tradition and innovation converge in every bottle.
